Abuja (FCT) › Asokoro District
Asokoro District is in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), on the eastern side of Abuja's original planned city near the Three Arms Zone. The Federal Capital Development Authority identifies Asokoro as a Phase One district. The planning name is used in land administration and infrastructure records.
Garki, Guzape and the Central Area are nearby districts. Yakubu Gowon Crescent and the AYA approach to the Abuja–Keffi Expressway are useful road references. These landmarks help locate the district, but they do not replace the boundaries shown on an approved layout or survey plan.
Asokoro Extension is a separately named addition to the city's original districts. A property described broadly as Asokoro may therefore need a more precise district and layout description. Check the allocation, approved use and survey documents when establishing where a plot falls, rather than treating the older core and every extension address as one planning unit.

Asokoro Extension (Asokoro 2)
Asokoro Extension, also known as Asokoro 2, is recognised separately from the original Asokoro district in the FCT's development plans. The extension name should be checked against the official layout, district and plot description for the particular property.
The everyday Asokoro address alone does not establish an extension property's boundary, approved use or access road. Ask for the named layout and survey plan, locate the plot on the ground and inspect the road serving it.
