Abuja (FCT) › Kuje
Kuje town is the headquarters of Kuje Area Council, south-west of Abuja city centre in the FCT. Kuje is both the name of the town and of the area council, one of the six area councils of the territory alongside AMAC, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kwali and Abaji. An address in Kuje Area Council is not necessarily in Kuje town, so ask which community a property is in.
Kuje is not under AMAC. The town is reached by road from Airport Road, and the FCT Administration has been building a dual carriageway from the Airport Expressway to Kuje and another from Kuje to Gwagwalada; check how far the works have reached on your route.
Kuje can suit people who work in the town or on the Airport Road side of the territory, and households looking for more space outside the city. Before renting, test the journey at the times you travel and check the access road, drainage, water supply and power backup. Before buying, check that the title comes from the FCT Administration rather than only from the area council.
