Bariga is on the Lagos mainland. It is a community within Shomolu LGA, situated on the northern shore of Lagos Lagoon — directly north of Lagos Island, but on the mainland side of the water. Despite its proximity to Lagos Island, Bariga is classified as mainland, and road access to the Island requires crossing a bridge.
