• To Lagos Island/VI: typically 45–90+ minutes in normal traffic conditions; can be 2–3 hours in peak rush hour
• To Ikeja: 20–30 minutes — a much more practical commute for those working in the Mainland business hub
• Bus services along the main roads provide public transport options

Power, flooding and security

• History: Magodo began in the 1970s as a government residential scheme, which is why its streets and plots are laid out more regularly than most of the mainland.
• Power: better than most of the mainland. Most homes have full generator backup, but ask how many hours the grid supplies and what backup the house has.
• Flooding: the risk is low: the estate sits on higher ground with planned drainage. Still check the exact street after heavy rain.
• Security: gated entry and estate security keep the interior streets quiet and tree-lined, in contrast with CMD Road and the busier approaches.

• Private primary and secondary schools — several well-regarded options in and around Magodo
• Shopping plazas and supermarkets on the main arterials
• Churches and mosques — well-represented given the family-oriented community
• Private hospitals and clinics
• Commercial strips along the Magodo-Ketu axis for daily shopping needs
