How to report a repair to your landlord

The short answer

Open "Maintenance" on your tenancy page. Describe the problem and press "Open request". You can then add photos and send messages to your landlord.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Open "My rent", choose "View tenancy" and find "Maintenance".

Use the tenancy for the property with the problem. New requests are available while the tenancy is active.

  2. Step 2: Find "Open a maintenance request" and fill in "Title".

Give the problem a short name. Under "What needs attention?", describe what is wrong and where it is.

  3. Step 3: Choose "Normal" or "Urgent" under "Priority", then press "Open request".

The new request appears under "Maintenance". Check its details before adding more information.

  4. Step 4: Use "Add photos", then press "Upload photos".

You can add up to five photos per request. Each must be 10 MB or smaller, in JPEG, PNG or WebP format.

Good to know: Choosing files does not upload them. Press "Upload photos" and check that they appear under "Photos".

  5. Step 5: Write in "Message your landlord" and press "Send message".

Add details or ask about this repair. Read the request’s messages and any reply from your landlord when you return.
