How to offer longer-stay discounts and free nights
The short answer
Give guests a discount, or a free night, for staying longer. They get the one that saves them more, never both.
Step by step
Step 1: Open your listing’s edit page.
In the seller menu, press "Listings List". Then open the home.
Step 2: Tick "Offer a discount on longer stays".
It is in the part called "Longer-stay discounts".
Step 3: Fill in "Tier 1:".
Type the number of nights and the % off. For example, 7 nights and 10%. Guests then see "7+ nights, 10% off".
Step 4: Add "Tier 2:" and "Tier 3:" if you want.
Each tier needs more nights and a bigger discount than the one before.
Good to know: The form says "Enable Tier 2 first to add a third tier".
Step 5: Fill in the "Free nights offer" instead, if you like.
Type "Nights stayed" and "Free nights". For example, 5 and 1. Guests then see "Stay 5 nights, get 1 free".
Good to know: Fill in both numbers, or leave both empty for no offer.
Step 6: Read the line that starts "Guests will see:".
It shows your offer the way guests will read it.
Step 7: Save the listing.

How a longer-stay discount works
The tier with the most nights the guest reaches counts. Its discount comes off all their nights.
Example: Tier 1 is 7 nights and 10%. A guest stays 8 nights. All 8 nights get 10% off.
How free nights add up
Say you pick 5 and 1. The cheapest night is always the free one.

The better of the two, never both
A stay gets a discount or free nights. It never gets both. Cabans works out which one saves the guest more.
Example: 7 nights at ₦50,000 (fifty thousand naira) a night is ₦350,000.
10% off would save ₦35,000. One free night saves ₦50,000. So the guest gets the free night. They pay ₦300,000 for the nights.
What is never discounted
The cleaning fee and the caution deposit. Offers only make the nights cheaper.
