How to add charges and the tenancy agreement
The short answer
Use "Add charge" for other charges on the tenancy. Upload your agreement under "Documents" so your tenant can open it from their account.
Step by step
Step 1: Open the tenancy and go to "Charges and payments".
Press "Add charge". This adds a charge alongside the rent schedule.
Step 2: Choose "Charge type" and fill in "Description".
Choose the type that fits, such as "Service charge" or "Other". Describe what the tenant is being charged for.
Step 3: Enter the charge amount and "Due date", then press "Add charge".
Check the new charge in "Charges and payments". Its amount, paid amount and balance are shown there.
Step 4: Go to "Documents" and use "Choose the tenancy agreement".
Choose one non-empty file, up to 10 MB. The picker accepts PDF, Word documents and the listed image formats.
Step 5: Press "Upload agreement".
The file appears in "Documents". Your tenant can open the agreement from their tenancy page too.
Step 6: Press "Open file" to check the agreement.
Use "Open in a new tab" to view the file. These are private links which expire, so open the file from the tenancy.
Do it now
Removing an agreement
Press "Delete" beside the file. Check "Delete this document?", then press "Delete" to remove it.
The tenant can no longer request a link to that file. A private link already opened may keep working until it expires.
