Your tenancy and invites
Set up the rent and invite your tenant by email.
- How to set up a tenancyOpen "Rent collection" and press "Set up a tenancy". Add your property, tenant and rent schedule. You can then invite the tenant by email.
- How to invite your tenantYour store or business must be approved first. Press "Send invite" on the tenancy. Your tenant must accept with the email address you invited.
Payments and records
Record money, add charges, keep the agreement and see your payouts.
- How to record a cash or transfer paymentPress "Record payment" on the charge after you receive the money. You can record part payments. Use "Reverse payment" to correct an offline record.
- How to add charges and the tenancy agreementUse "Add charge" for other charges on the tenancy. Upload your agreement under "Documents" so your tenant can open it from their account.
- How to see your rent payoutsOpen "Payouts" from "Rent collection". The Cabans team sends confirmed online rent payments to your payout bank account. Payouts wait for an approved account.

Is rent collection free for landlords?
Rent collection is free for landlords; the tenant pays a processing fee on top of rent, shown before they pay.
Can I invite a tenant before my business is approved?
No. Your store or business must be approved first. Until then, "Send invite" is greyed out with the reason. See how to invite your tenant.
What name does the tenant see?
They see your approved brand or company name as their landlord. Cabans is the marketplace.
Can I record cash or bank transfer payments?
Yes. Use "Record payment" for money you have already received. You can record part of a charge too. If you made a mistake, use "Reverse payment" and give a reason. See how to record a payment.
How do I get my rent payout?
The Cabans team sends online rent payments to your payout bank account once the payment is confirmed. Your payout waits until an approved bank account is on file. Look for "Transfer reference" in "Payouts". See your rent payouts.
